Cogent, a growing company serving the contractor, municipal and industrial markets providing dewatering systems is looking for aField Service Technicianin the Oklahoma City Area. Position Requirements + Work alone or as a team to service and maintain various types of rotating equipment typically found in the water and wastewater industry. Frequently working under tight deadlines in the field and/or service center. + Assists in planning, installation, repair and troubleshooting of new or modified installations for mechanical and or electrical systems. + Utilizes technical repair reports to accurately document all aspects of the repair estimate, repair and failure diagnosis, including part numbers, part descriptions, estimated labor hours, actual labor hours, and documentation of work performed to ensure customer satisfaction. + Works as an "Emergency Responder" on a rotation as necessary. Must be able to travel on short notice and work outside of normal business hours when necessary. + Uphold all safety practices and procedures as detailed in the company safety manuals. + Continuous learning of products, applications, technology, market conditions and competitive advantages. PositionField Service Technician Position Requirements Qualified Applicants Will Possess the Following Knowledge, Skills And Abilities + High school diploma or GED required; degree from a Technical or Vocational school in Mechanics or + Electronics preferred. + Previous experience in installation, maintenance and repair of submersible pumps or other rotating equipment generally found in water and wastewater facilities preferred. + Desire and ability to work in a fast paced and continuously changing field. + Previous experience in the installation and repair of piping systems preferred. + Ability to learn and troubleshoot electrical control systems preferred. + Ability to work overtime on short notice required. + High level communication and organization skills, as well as a positive attitude towards customer service required. + Basic computer knowledge required (Gmail, Word, Excel). + Ability to manually lift and maneuver heavy objects, parts, equipment and materials required. + Ability to work under little supervision.
