The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing technical assistance and expertise in the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Honeywell’s systems, including Security, and HVAC control systems. This role involves ensuring the optimal performance of systems, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

\n

Key Responsibilities:

\n\nTesting, calibrating, and verifying Honeywell systems and peripheral devices, with the testing to be performed according to all applicable standards and codes (e.g. ULC536).\nVerifying the system functional performance to ensure proper operations according to contract requirements and shop drawings/sequence of operations, etc.\nPerforming system backups and installing appropriate updates and patches.\nCompleting documentation of all work done, including all readings, offsets, etc.\nUpdating customer drawings/documentation with any configuration or model changes.\nEnsuring all assigned Preventive Maintenance tasks are completed in the time allotted and the month scheduled.\nResponding to, and resolving Emergency Service Calls as required, in accordance with customer contract deliverables.\nDiagnosing and performing repairs in a time effective manner.\nParticipate in the delivery of small service or installation jobs, including engineering, programming, documentation, installation management, start-up testing, and customer acceptance.\nStay updated on product and preventive maintenance techniques and predictive maintenance.\nPromote and maintain good customer relations.\nCommunicate customer requirements, system status, and potential issues to supervisors.\nProvide technical training and demonstrations to customers.\nPrepare job plans to ensure jobs are completed within budgeted costs and timelines.\nProvide quotes to customers for additional services or extras as requested.\nConduct hazard and risk assessments according to Honeywell policy and regulatory requirements.\nReport near misses, incidents, and other opportunities for improvement.\nManage Honeywell assets such as tools, proprietary software, and site databases.\nAttend and complete required training programs.\n

YOU MUST HAVE

\n\n2+ years of experience within technical or business field in HVAC/BAS (Building Automation System)\nHigh School diploma or equivalent GED\nValid driver’s license.\n

WE VALUE
