InterFuze is seeking a Field Service Technician (FST) contingent upon contract award, to support the Pocket J CLS\/LAK contract located in the US.\n
The selected candidate will perform the following responsibilities:\n\nCoordinates all aspects of scheduled\/unscheduled maintenance visits to assigned locations.\nInstall and configure data link systems.\nDocument all configurations, changes, and proposed changes.\nEnsure proper initial installation as well as subsequent installations of updates\/patches.\nPerform regular checks of system components for errors and application of necessary corrective action.\nTroubleshoot problems and take corrective action in a timely and effective basis.\nPerforms remote administration to secondary sites as assigned.\nProvide Tier I, II, and III Help Desk Support\nCreates and submits (as directed) all post-site visit documentation including trip reports, inventories, and checklists.\nConfer with contractor Program Management and Engineering team regarding system's administration and operational concerns.\nDevelop and maintain strong working relationships with customers, authorized service shops, and other service organizations.\nRecommend changes to site maintenance strategy and aid in its implementation.\nEnsure accurate recordkeeping of maintenance activities.\nOperating Link 16 terminals and Situational Awareness Data Link radios\nTravel requirements (50%)\nNon-standard work hours -- must be willing to travel\/work flexible hours to meet customer requirements.\n\n
Qualifications:\n\nExperience performing IAVA, OS, and application patching\/updates.\nStrong working knowledge of Internet networking technologies and principles including TCP\/IP and DNS\nSolid knowledge of network connectivity, protocols, network security devices, network types, including fiber optic or Cat5, and common operating systems\nAbility to lift 60 lbs.\n\n
Preferred Qualifications:\n\nAbility to operate in a USAF environment or other DoD agency\nSystems administration experience\nUtilizing remote access capabilities such as PuTTY, WinSCP, etc.\nExpert-level communication skills\n\n
Additional Qualifications:\n\nThis position requires an active U.S. secret security clearance.\n\n
