Summary: The Field Service Technician III will assist senior Field Service Technicians with operating and maintaining utility scale solar facilities. This work includes preventative and corrective maintenance of on-site assets such as solar panels, trackers, and power inverters. Requirements: Takes direction from senior site personnel.Sets positive example for and mentors junior techniciansTroubleshoots low voltage DC power systems.Troubleshoots low voltage, medium voltage, and high voltage AC power systems.Conducts preventative maintenance on AC and DC power systems.Identifies faulty or underperforming equipment.Uses hand tools effectively.Utilizes a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).Manages site inventory.Assist in development of site operating plans.Follows site safety plan and safe work practices.Adheres to proper Lock-out-tag-out (LOTO) practices and procedures.Interfaces with project stakeholders (owners, equipment manufacturers, etc.).Interfaces with project subcontractors.Represents RES in professional manner to project stakeholders.Responds to physical location within 1.5 hours for emergency calls identified as a priority by Operations Control Center.Operates RES company vehicles, including trucks, in accordance with state and federal laws and RES policies.Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.Complies with Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct and Company Policies & Procedures.Rotating on-call schedule for emergency response.Presets, supports, and leads by example with a safety and quality-oriented attitude.Qualifications: High school/GED General Education required.Associate degree Related Technical Degree preferred.Certification OSHA 10/30 preferred.Certification FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot preferred.4+ years or more Related electrical maintenance experience required. 2+ years or more Medium voltage electrical work experience required.1 year or more High voltage electrical work experience preferred.IntermediateHigh voltage electrical power systemsMicrosoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)AdvancedLow voltage, medium voltage, high voltage electrical power systemsDrawingsCircuit theoryOSHA regulationsEquipment operation (skid-steer, forklift, etc.)Job hazard analysis (JHA) creationElectrical tools (multimeter, IR camera)ANSI/NETA/MTSSCADA systemsAdvancedHand toolsAbility to reside with a maximum commuting distance of 60 miles from the work site to ensure availability for on-site responsibilities.Functional Competencies Include: Collaboration, Attention to Detail, Ethics & Integrity, Communication and Prioritization.Domestic travel 5-15% required.Valid Driver’s License required.
