Job DescriptionGDIT has an opportunity for a Field Service Technician supporting Tactical Ground Station Software (TGS SW) at Schofield Barracks, HI. This position requires someone with a current and active TS/SCI.
How the TGS Field Service Technician will make an impact:
Initialize, place into operation and the troubleshoot software interfaces of specific C5ISR communication system being supported.
Provide over the shoulder technical assistance, troubleshooting, software installation, software updates, and software fixes for Tactical Ground Station (TGS).
Install, configure, and maintain vCenter server and its applicable database server and services.
Perform backup and disaster recovery of Linux and Windows operating systems.
Utilize proper change management procedures regarding the installation and testing of all upgrades and enhancements for VMware infrastructure version 6.0 and above.
Perform analyses of system operations.
Participates in special projects as required.
What you'll need to be successful:
AA/AS, 8+ years experience. (2 years of additional work experience may be substituted for an A.A./A.S. Degree)
Must have an active TS/SCI clearance and willing to obtain a CI Poly if required.
Security+ CE (Current)
Experience with Microsoft Windows/Linux/VMWare server and client software, patching, upgrading, and maintaining.
Knowledge of and experience in the operations of hardware systems and components.
Willing to travel.
