Field Service Technician Water Business

As a Field Service Technician within the Water division, you will provide on-site technical support for the routine maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of IDEXX water microbiology devices at various client sites across North America. Your expertise will ensure that our equipment operates efficiently and accurately, contributing to the safety and quality of water testing and analysis.

What can you expect:

This position is responsible for the on-site technical support for the routine maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of water microbiology devices within the IDEXX Water business in North America.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule and manage service visits to client sites, coordinating with customers to ensure timely, efficient support and maintaining an up-to-date service calendar.Perform routine maintenance and repairs, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure all service activities are completed in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of service activities, including,  maintenance logs and repair records.Track and submit travel-related expenses in compliance with the company’s travel and expense policy.

What you need to succeed:

High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Associates degree or equivalent preferred.Typically, 1-3 years of experience with medical or laboratory devices.Technical AptitudeSome Project Management SkillsPreference for candidates with experience using Salesforce, Microsoft Suite, SAP, and other Enterprise platforms.Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsCustomer service mindset is essential.Comfortable working independently in a remote/field-based environmentSelf-motivated and well organizedMay be required to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds.Fluency in the English languageSome positions may work with exposed moving electro-mechanical parts and may require proper protective equipmentPossess a valid U.S. driver’s license Ability to travel as required, including overnight stays approximately 60-75% travel within North America

Physical Demands and Work Environment:
