Field Services and Billing Technology Project Intern

EchoStar has an exciting opportunity for a Field Services and Billing Technology Project Intern in our Hughes Network Systems division. This position will be located at our office in Gaithersburg, MD.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Field Services Enablement and Billing team to understand business processes and identify opportunities for automation.Design, develop, and test software tools to automate business processes, enhancing efficiency and productivity.Create relevant technical documentation for the tools developed for project planning, execution, and training purposes.Engage in troubleshooting and debugging software issues.Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather and define requirements, and ensure the alignment of technological solutions with business needs.

Basic Requirements:

Currently pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Project Management or a related field.3.0 GPA or above60 credit hours or more by start of internship, June 2025

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with project management software such as Jira or Microsoft Project.Experience with data analysis or report generation using Excel, Tableau or similar tools.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently.Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.Previous internship or project experience in software development or IT.Exposure to database management systems and the ability to write SQL queries.Interest in new approaches to solving problems using Artificial Intelligence.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.A desire to develop leadership skills and an interest in pursuing a career in project or program management.

Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $49,000.00 - $70,000.00
