Field Services Representative Trainee

The Field Services Representative Trainee turns water service on or off and transfers service, dispatches work orders, and performs a variety of additional duties related to the meter readings and inspections of customers served by Greenville Water.\n
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS OF FIELD SERVICE REPRESENTIVE: \n\nTurns water service on or off and\/or transfers service for customers. \nVerifies service information on all meters to ensure proper identification, initiates or terminates water service and obtains meter readings on all accounts requesting change in order to enable proper billing.\nAssists customers in the resolution of service problems and leaks by answering questions and providing information.\nCommunicates with customers to increase awareness of problems observed while on site.\nConducts pressure and flow tests to determine need for repairs.\nReviews and verifies meter readings indicating high or low consumption; checks for and reports meter condition and leaks.\nDisconnects service for non-payment and contract requirements; and reconnects service as directed.\nMakes and reviews drawings to determine crossed accounts and meter locations and reports finding to appropriate department.\nResponds to and completes work orders from Customer Service and Building.\nAdvises Customer Service of possible problems; receives and responds to customer inquiries, complaints and requests for service.\nInstalls, calibrates, and troubleshoots automated meter reading program units and electronic radio transfers; replaces equipment as needed.\nInspects and reports broken cut-offs, boxes, and leaks at meter, including suspected tampering.\nPerforms installation\/removal of water meters.\nPerforms all duties in accordance with Greenville Water safety policies and procedures.\nWorks after-hours duty as scheduled or needed.\nPrepares and submits routine reports, records, forms, etc., as required, in a timely and accurate manner.\nPerforms related duties as required.\n\n

FIELD SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE TRAINEE \n
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: \n
A High School Diploma or GED, supplemented by three (3) years of experience with meter reading\/maintenance and\/or general electrical service and repair work is preferred; or possession of any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid South Carolina driver's license and obtain CPR and First Aid certifications within six months of hire.\n

FIELD SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE\n
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: \n
In addition to the Minimum Qualifications for a Field Services Representative Trainee, must have worked at least 2 years as a Field Services Representative Trainee for Greenville Water or the equivalent with another Water Utility. And must have attended Driver Safety Training (4-hour class).\n
