Essential Responsibilities:
In the role of Field Engineer, you will:
Perform troubleshooting activities at site locations to diagnose problems, determine appropriate resolution, and implements corrective actions
Perform installation and commissioning activities at customer site locations
Performs a wide range of engineering tasks to ensure the technical integrity and proper installation and commissioning of GE drive systems
Develop presentations and provides training and instruction to customers on drive operations
Provide continuous, 24 hour by 7 day a week, support in response to customer calls for service
Ensure appropriate response and service is provided to customer.
Required Qualifications:
Up to 3 years of experience in the relevant field
Bachelor's degree in electrical and mechatronics engineering
Strong oral and written communication skills in English
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Ability and willingness to travel approximately 80% of the time, as required
Ability and willingness to possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
Ability and willingness to work remotely; as required
Desired Characteristics
Field Service and Commissioning experience with drives and/or power and/or automation systems and/or dynamic positioning
Possess detailed knowledge, competence and expertise with installation and commissioning tasks and services.
Strong computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Office applications.
Ability to learn and follow defined departmental policies, procedures, and practices.
