We are currently hiring a Field Services Technician to join our growing team!

We prefer the candidate resides in the Florida area, but would be open to other areas of the country.

Job Description

The role provides technical support to the field regarding their Doctor's ophthalmic instruments and the store's lab equipment. The position will provide phone support, on-site support, and shop support. Perform equipment installations and relocations, as well as packing of instruments for shipping.

What Would You Do? The Specifics.

Builds and rebuilds optical lab fabrication equipment. Most builds, repairs and rebuilds are mechanical or electrical in nature.Performs equipment installations and relocations, as well as packing of instruments for shipping.Responds to store portal requests for lab equipment repairs in a timely manner.Travels to National Vision stores to service equipment, and/or install equipment (new or replacement).Packs/palletizes old equipment for transfer or removal.Provides basic ophthalmic instrument training to store staff over the phone, and identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as necessary.Communicates and logs all service calls.Cleans and maintains Equipment Repair Center.

Qualifications

Work Experience

2-4 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience (Required)

Education

High school, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; E.G. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc.

Licenses, Certifications, Professional Affiliations

Forklift Certification (Preferred)
