Job Summary
Torrent Resources, a CRH company, is adding a Field Superintendent that is critical to the overall growth and profitability of the construction business! The chosen candidate will be responsible for the oversight of all construction activities and personnel involved in the installation of drywell products and materials on each particular project as assigned. The Field Superintendent plays an important role in the division by being the frontline leader to all construction staff, supporting and assisting in maintaining all company safety efforts, and ensuring strong relationships with field staff and other leadership team members.
Roles and Responsibilities
Coordinates all construction activities and accuracy of project paperwork and assignments with the dispatch and commercial team.
Review the site in general and each drywell location in particular for adequate access and installation.
Make note of the progress of construction on the site, paying particular attention to when it would be critical to complete our work so that we do not impede the progress of the overall project.
Maintains positive relationship with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employees.
Understand the contract between Oldcastle Infrastructure and the customer/owner.
Establishes the Punch-list process and close-out procedures with the Project Manager, Owner, and Architect before trade contractor/service/maintenance work starts- Maintain a reasonable low volume Punch-list.
Schedules and procures tools and equipment necessary for the project.
Prevents fines and interruptions by complying with and enforcing codes.
Assists with city submittals and permits at the various cities within your territory as necessary when initiated by scheduling.
Coordinate efforts with project superintendent/GC to let them know that you have called Bluestake and meet onsite to review the scope of our work, access, staking etc.
Assess and discuss any potential problems that may develop between now and the time that we must mobilize. Discuss the sequence of our work to best suit his overall project coordination and our schedule.
Take pictures, when possible, of the Bluestake markings on existing site projects, in-fill projects, or any projects that the Bluestake marks indicate utilities in the general area.
Display knowledge and confidence of the municipality’s requirement that the wells penetrate ten (10) feet into permeable soils and the necessity of approval should additional drilling be required. Answer questions regarding permeable soils and how the determination is made of suitable permeable soils.
Required Qualifications
4+ years of construction experience with wet and dry utilities as a field superintendent
Experience with AIA contracts and lien waivers
Ability to understand construction scopes of works
Customer service skills and good relations with trade partners and vendors
Heavy Calendar Scheduling
Expense Report, Credit Card Allocations
Filing and Project Documentation
