As a Field Supervisor, you’ll be at the heart of the action, overseeing critical building trades to ensure the smooth running of Defence Base Services. Your responsibilities will include:

 

First Response Coordination: Take charge of urgent Estate Upkeep issues, ensuring quick and effective resolutions to maintain asset availability. Team Leadership: Supervise subcontractors and Ventia Field Leads, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standard. Safety & Compliance: Implement Ventia’s Permit to Work System and carry out site audits to ensure safety documentation and operational processes are followed meticulously. Quality Control: Participate in assessments to ensure work scope completion aligns with budget and quality standards. Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with key client and customer representatives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Access Coordination: Manage site access, inductions, and subcontractor support to ensure smooth operations across all activities. What You’ll Bring:

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

 

Experience: Background in building or commercial maintenance industries is highly desirable. Leadership: Proven experience in leading trade teams and managing subcontractors. Safety Expertise: Strong understanding and focus on safety principles. Communication Skills: Ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders. Technical Proficiency: Competence with Microsoft Office and a desire to learn new systems; experience in high-risk disciplines and Permit to Work systems is a plus. Qualifications: Building, trade, or tertiary qualifications are desirable, along with a current Australian Driver’s License.
