About the Role
Exciting opportunity for a field technician to be an integral part of the Leinster Exploration team Competitive salary on offer plus 12% superannuation and a range of company benefits Family friendly FIFO roster - 7 days on 7 days off Reporting to the Exploration Field Supervisor
The main aspects of the Field Technician role are the processing of exploration drilling samples, consumables management, corefarm management, despatch logistics of processed samples and promoting a safe working practices in the exploration team.
The key functions provided by the Field Technician role include:
Metre and orientation marking of drill core High quality core photography, cutting and sampling Despatching of samples to sample laboratory Assist with the execution of exploration related tasks and activities Maintain the relevant core yard facilities to the desired standard. Maintain the process for waste management. Escorting of equipment to and from project areas Support the Field Supervisor in managing the maintenance of equipment and the housekeeping of work areas. Undertake all sampling related tasks, including the recording of information into electronic systems, sample/core pickup and dispatch Support technical geology team through the creation of chip trays, photography of core or as requested by Field Supervisor Undertake project closeout activities including collar cutting, collection of signage, removal of waste materials About You
Experience in the exploration field is desired Forklift HRWL HR drivers license Ability to demonstrate a knowledge in safe work practices Great communication and time management skills Demonstrated team player Basic computer skills West Australian Nickel Leinster
West Australian Nickel Leinster is located 370 kilometers north of Kalgoorlie in the Northern Goldfields. There’s plenty to keep you entertained in the Leinster township. Employees commute to and from Perth on a fly in / fly out roster or form regional areas on a drive in / drive out roster.
