We are currently seeking a **_Field Technician_** which requires the knowledge of flow monitoring equipment, sampling equipment, installation procedures, maintenance procedures, safety procedures, and confined space procedures. A flow monitoring crew member is required to insure that all flow monitoring is properly performed, insure accurate data collection, and perform the work in the most efficient and cost effective manner.
This position is located in our **_Mentor, OH_** office, but can also be in any of our northeast Ohio offices.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Prepare complete and accurate installation reports and submit them to the flow Monitoring Coordinator on a timely basis.
+ Responsible to establish and enforce safety parameters of the work area, the crew, the vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
+ Log the condition of each meter and schedule preventive maintenance to insure accurate data.
+ Perform confined space entries as the "Entrant" or "Entry Supervisor", including the ability to learn and be trained in OSHA Regulated Confined Space Entry Program.
+ Responsible for appropriate safety decisions regarding confined space entry, travel to and from sites, and working outside in urbanized and natural environments.
+ Document tasks performed, using appropriate field forms; hand sketching of special structures; or other appropriate documentation procedures.
+ Organize, clean and maintain equipment inventory and track and coordinate equipment repairs.
**Qualifications:**
+ A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A two-year college degree or greater in a related field is preferred.
+ Experience working in the flow monitoring field is desirable.
+ Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workload.
+ Proficiency with standard computer programs, such as, Microsoft Word and Excel.
+ Ability to interact and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels, both internally and externally.
+ Ability to lift and carry 30 to 50 lbs. regularly and 80 lbs. periodically.
+ Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
+ Knowledge of safety procedures for confined space entry preferred.
+ Map reading capability necessary.
