**Job Title: Field Technician** **Job Description** Construction Field / Materials Technicians will perform field inspections and observations for commercial construction projects. Employees will be fully trained in the use of the equipment necessary to accomplish their work. This is an entry-level opportunity with no prior experience required - excellent opportunity for candidates interested in a career within the Construction industry! **Responsibilities** + Transport equipment, specimens, or documents to field personnel, clients, or other offices, and provide physical assistance in equipment set-up. + Prepare and submit written field reports summarizing daily activities, observations, and results. + Observe proof rolls, undercut operations, perform footing inspections with dynamic cone penetrometer, and inspect rebar. + Monitor work procedures for compliance with project specifications. + Interact with client representatives (supervisors, foremen, project managers, engineers, etc.) at project sites. + Perform analysis or calculations to check the accuracy, applicability, and reasonableness of testing data. + Perform sampling or testing as directed. + Provide assistance to other field personnel. + Clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas. + Assist other technicians or professional staff on routine tasks. + Be placed in a progressively increased role of training and responsibility in work assignments. **Essential Skills** + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + General labor and concrete handling experience. + Basic computer skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience working outside. + Experience in a fast-paced environment. + Willing to learn how to use the technology and tools for this position. + Willingness to work long hours. **Work Environment** The role requires spending 90% of the time in the field, typically working 50-70 hours per week. Employees must be available to work nights starting between 8 PM to 1 AM and are expected to work 12-15 hours per day.
