Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Field Technician with experience in the startup and maintenance of HVAC units. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance tasks, installing sheet metal, and ensuring the proper operation of HVAC systems.
ResponsibilitiesStartup of HVAC unitsPerform preventive maintenance tasks including changing filters and belts, and tightening beltsTest units, turn on, and conduct visual/audio inspectionsInstall sheet metal using basic hand tools such as hammer and cordless drillSelect appropriate material for each job based on the desired or necessary strengthCut, bend, and shape sheet metal to required dimensionsMeasure, cut, and weld pieces together according to specifications, blueprints, or directionsConnect pieces or secure seams by riveting, rolling, soldering, or using steel screwsPerform assigned work on assembly lines such as punching holes for screws or bending guttersEssential Skills2+ years of experience in sheet metal installation and HVAC systemsProficiency with hand toolsExperience or interest in learning HVAC startup, including changing filters, belts, and testing unitsAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in brazingAbility to install sheet metal in commercial/industrial settingsExperience with or interest in learning HVAC installation/startupOwnership of basic hand toolsWhy Work Here?
This is a long-term opportunity with a growing company located in downtown Cleveland. We promote from within and offer a tool program. You will be working within a 30-50 mile radius of the office, with mileage reimbursement for jobs outside this radius.
Work Environment
You will be working on commercial and industrial job sites and will need to drive your own vehicle to job sites, which are typically within a 30-mile radius and occasionally up to 50 miles. Mileage reimbursement is provided for jobs outside the 30-mile radius.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cleveland, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $32.00
