Job Description
We are seeking a Field Test Engineer who will articulate technical capabilities, perform lab and field tests of electronic equipment, and troubleshoot and debug systems in the field independently. The engineer will also support design activities, provide feedback from end users to the technical team, and complete design tasks with moderate supervision. The role includes leading the creation of engineering technical prototypes, demonstrating products, and providing pre-sales technical support to the Business Development team. Additionally, the engineer will support training events for end-users, preparing training materials and overseeing logistics and shipment for customer demonstrations.
ResponsibilitiesClearly articulate technical capabilities.Perform lab and field tests of electronic equipment.Troubleshoot and debug systems in the field independently.Support design activities as required.Provide feedback from end users to the technical team.Complete design tasks with moderate supervision.Lead the creation of engineering technical prototypes.Demonstrate products and provide pre-sales technical support to the Business Development team.Support training events for end-users and prepare training materials (presentations, manuals, etc.).Support all aspects of customer training and demonstration including system preparation and testing, overseeing logistics and shipment, and operating the system.Essential SkillsExperience with radar, electronic warfare, and communication systems.Knowledge of electronic hardware and test engineering.Proficiency in RF system testing and integration.Experience with prototype development and spectrum analyzers.Technical Certification and two years of experience in a technical field.Ability to interface with external customers.Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting 50 lbs or more.Experience with system-level tests and integration.Experience with RF design and RF test equipment (VNA, Spectrum Analyzer, etc.).30% to 50% travel required, both domestic and international.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is preferred.Operational background in Military or Government organizations is desired.Experience with radar and EW systems is a plus.Technical background in operating communication and tactical systems in a DoD environment is an advantage.Work Environment
The role is primarily based onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD, supporting testing and integration of systems. The engineer will travel 30-50% of the time to domestic test sites such as Yuma, AZ, or other military/government radar testing facilities to demonstrate systems for customers. Travel durations are typically about one week per testing event, with potential for international travel, including training on hardware in Israel for a couple of weeks.

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $60.00
