Field Trainer
The Field Trainer serves as an expert in standards and procedures of our daily operations in the field, works closely with Store Managers and Team Members at individual locations, and acts as a liaison between the Learning and Development team and the field. This role will also partner closely with the Field Support Managers. This field-based role will focus on supporting consistency in our training programs and initiatives.
You will contribute to the implementation of training programs, assess individual training needs, and drive development within our field locations. The Field Trainer will play an essential role in the ongoing learning and development of team members within the organization.
Qualifications and Skills:
2-4 years of C-store or Car Wash experience, time in a manager role is a plus· Experience facilitating on the job or classroom training strongly preferred
· Ability to Travel 80% of the time, and travel to Worcester office for on-site meetings and connections as needed.
· Demonstrates strong facilitation skills for in person, virtual, and on the job training.
· Demonstrates ability to present training appropriately for the intended audience while tailoring to specific learning needs. In addition:
o Able to take complex concepts and simplify them for the learner
Demonstrates an ability to build relationships, partner with others and influence across departments and at all levels of the organization.· Demonstrates strategic thinking skills and translates plans into coherent action. In addition:
o Exercises good judgment in decision making while displaying courage to respectfully challenge ideas and resolve issues.
o Demonstrates ability to establish root cause to suggest appropriate solutions and options, while using data to inform recommendations.
· Demonstrates ability to execute strategic plans and actions. In addition:
Demonstrates time and project management skills with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.o Proficient in a variety of technology systems and adapts to new systems quickly.
Demonstrates openness to feedback and actively works towards self-improvementResponsibilities include:
· Solicits and shares feedback on training needs in the field.
· Supports the implementation of training programs for field audiences by partnering with RMs, DMs and Store Management.
· Supports the field change management efforts, in partnership with field leadership, for new programs, and initiatives.
· Reviews and suggests training documentation updates.
· Supports Training needs during new acquisitions.
· Plans and organizes logistics of local training.
· Partners with field leadership and HRBPs to support the completion of learning action plans addressing training and development needs for field Team Members.
· Weekly evening/closing store visits to support training on all shifts.
· Supports new Team Member and Manager onboarding and training.
· Support any other L&D (Learning & Development) initiatives as they arise.
