The role
The Filling Manager oversees aseptic filling activities at our production site in Brussels, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. They manage a team of direct and indirect reports and lead continuous improvement efforts across the manufacturing department. The Filling Manager collaborates closely with various stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective achievement of filling objectives. The Manager plays a key role in driving operational success and optimizing performance across the filling operations.
Lead and manage the aseptic filling operations – Oversee daily operations, ensuring staffing, training, and performance meet the required standards. Manage a team of supervisors and operators to achieve production targets.
Monitor and optimize team performance – Ensure adherence to key performance indicators (KPIs), including production rates, quality standards, and rework management. Drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Foster a safety and quality culture – Promote a culture focused on operational excellence, patient first, data integrity, and ALCOA+ principles. Actively engage with teams in the production zone to ensure compliance.
Coordinate with stakeholders – Collaborate with other departments such as QA, QC, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to achieve filling objectives and ensure smooth operations.
Lead audits and regulatory interactions – Serve as the key point of contact during audits, ensuring compliance with GMP standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Minimum 10 years of experience in aseptic GMP manufacturing, with at least 4 years in people management – Preferably with experience in filling operations and a strong background in team leadership.
Fluent in French and English – Essential for clear communication with local teams and global stakeholders.
Strong operational management skills – Ability to manage high-pressure environments, balancing multiple priorities.
Experience with audits and regulatory requirements – Proven expertise in GxP audit management, working with global regulatory authorities, particularly for biological products/production.
Ability to drive performance and continuous improvement – Demonstrated experience in optimizing operations, setting KPIs, and leading teams to meet production and quality goals.
About the site
End of 2024, Novo Nordisk acquired the manufacturing site Catalent Belgium SA. The site is now part of Novo Nordisk and has begun the transition to become a fully integrated Novo Nordisk manufacturing site. To advance the integration, the Brownfield Site Integration team for Brussels (BSI Brussels) has been established with the responsibility for local integration and capacity maximization in collaboration with the local team.
