POSITION PURPOSE
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join Bayer Global Business Services (GBS) team as an SAP PLM Finished and Semi-finished goods Recipe Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and structuring Finished and Semi-finished goods recipes from Bill of Materials (BoM). The product recipes will be general and site recipes for Bayers products (Pharma, Crop Science and Consumer Health products) within SAP PLM system. Your primary focus will be on enhancing the accuracy and completeness of general and site recipes to support our product manufacturing and regulatory compliance efforts. A strong background in SAP product supply data in Life Science, excellent research skills, and proficiency in Excel are essential for success in this position. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, regulatory, product supply (manufacturing and quality), to ensure accurate data management and compliance with industry standards.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create finished goods general and site recipes using Bill of Materials (BOM) from ERP to ensure alignment between product specifications and BoM for manufacturing.
• Review documents, such as product specifications (from divisional systems) and product dossiers, to extract relevant finished and semi-finished goods information.
• Develop, update and maintain general and site-specific recipes in CORE (SAP PLM).
• Conduct in-depth analysis of finished good recipes and properties to ensure accuracy, consistency and traceability to meet the industry and regulation requirements
• Create and organize finished goods recipes in Excel spreadsheets, following established formats and guidelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, regulatory, product supply, and quality control, to address data-related inquiries and provide accurate and timely information.
• Support alignment of recipes, BoMs in ERP, MES across business systems.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the development and implementation of the best practices for data management practices.
• Develop and implement best practices for data governance following GxP documentation requirements.
• Troubleshoot data-related issues and support system enhancements to improve data management efficiency.
• Provide training and guidance to Bayer cross-functional teams on best practices for formulation data handling.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection protocols throughout the data enrichment process.
WHO YOU ARE:
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, data management or a related field.
• Proven experience working with SAP PLM and BoM management in ERP, preferably in a consumer health, pharmaceutical, or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of chemical formulations, recipes (general and site) for manufacturing.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding technical documents, including product specifications and dossiers.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and guidelines governing recipe management for Consumer Health, Pharmaceutical and Crop Science products.
• Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize information from multiple sources.
• Ability to organize and manipulate data in Microsoft Excel
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present data-driven insights.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with SAP PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software is an advantage, but not a mandatory requirement.
