What you will be doing as a Final Avionics Technician:
In this role, you can expect to showcase your expertise by functional testing and repairing avionics, electronic, and communication systems during the final assembly of production aircraft. Your skills will ensure the seamless integration and optimal performance of these critical systems.
Your responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):
System Testing Configuration: Test and configure electrical and avionics systems using airplane orders, schematics, and engineering specsComponent Installation: Install and remove components and wiring for systems like radios, altimeters, transponders, and weather radarSoftware Loading: Load system software and databases, configuring as requiredSystem Adjustment Restoration: Use hand tools to adjust or restore systems to proper operation according to shop procedures and engineering requirementsTroubleshooting Assistance: Guide or assist 3-5 employees in troubleshooting and resolving mechanical, electrical and avionics system issuesQuality Assurance: Ensure the quality of your work through meticulous testing and adherence to standardsWhat you need to be successful:
A high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification is required.Have at least 1 year of aircraft experience including wire bundle routing and installation is requiredA knowledge of electrical and avionics principles use of test equipment is requiredAt least one year of fundamental avionics and electronics is helpfulWhy join us?
