In this role, you will:
Support less experienced staff to drive overall effectiveness of team in preparing data and assisting in research on product line, operational, and strategic planning
Provide feedback and present ideas for improving or implementing processes and tools
Perform complex operational tasks, assist with research of financial, operating and economic data analyses testing, resolution of problems
Apply understanding of risk management requirements and compliance for finance area
Provide interpretation of procedures to less experienced staff
Escalate non-routine questions to more experienced management
Interact with Finance team, functional area and business partners on a wide range of information
Required Qualifications:
2+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in Accounting preferably related to Derivatives, Capital Markets, Trade Reconciliation and Validation and knowledgeable in US financial services and US Regulatory Reporting.
• Relevant years of reporting experience, analytics experience, or a combination of both.
• Experience with Simcorp Dimension, IntelliMatch and Bloomberg is a plus.
Job Expectations:
Reviews the reconciliation files, and evaluation of the breaks of Principal and Interest that do not match what was provided by Custodians, for Assets-Held-For Sale and Held to Maturity portfolios, against common reconciling item such as security data not available the prior day due to a late feed, prepayment variances of mortgage backed bonds, structured trades, etc. Research is done using internal and external source systems.
• Reviews the remaining breaks on a bond by bond basis for research and resolution after the common reconciling items have been resolved.
