TalentWorld is hiring a Finance & Accounting Manager for a dynamic and growing company based in Mississauga. This is a high-impact, stand-alone role where you will take full ownership of the finance function—managing everything from day-to-day accounting to long-term financial planning, with minimal supervision.

You will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial reporting, healthy cash flow management, regulatory compliance, and overall financial transparency. Your ability to balance big-picture financial planning with detailed project costing and resource allocation will be critical to the company's continued success.

Finance & Accounting Manager Responsibilities: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; ensure compliance with tax and regulatory filings Manage all day-to-day accounting functions including AP/AR, payroll, invoicing, and expense processing Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and working capital management to support business growth Develop and maintain project-based job-costing models; perform margin analysis and recommend cost-saving measures Ensure internal controls, audit readiness, and risk management practices are in place Act as a strategic partner to leadership, providing financial insights and supporting business decisions Identify and implement process improvements; support ERP enhancements and integration of AI-driven financial tools Oversee benefits administration, insurance policies, and inventory controls Operate independently as a stand-alone finance function, delivering results with minimal supervision
Finance & Accounting Manager Qualifications: Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field CPA designation (CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA) is preferred 7+ years of progressive financial experience Background in construction, consulting, or project-based industries is an asset Knowledge of project-based accounting, WIP reporting, and internal controls Proficiency in Sage, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office; interest in AI tools a plus Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders Self-starter who thrives in independent roles and is comfortable making high-impact decisions
