The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our senior leaders during travel, meetings, and external events. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in executive protection, risk assessment, and team leadership. Work you'll do
As Deloitte's Executive Protection Program leader, you will develop and implement comprehensive security strategies to safeguard our senior leaders and organizational assets. You will also conduct risk assessments, coordinate with security agencies, and lead crisis management efforts to ensure the safety and confidentiality of our leaders and operations.
We seek candidates with extensive experience in executive protection or security management, strong analytical and risk assessment skills, excellent coordination and communication abilities, relevant security certifications, and high integrity and professionalism.
In this role, you will:
Develop, implement, and manage the Executive Protection Program to ensure the safety and security of senior leadersDevelop and maintain close relationships with senior leaders' support teamsConduct risk assessments and threat analysis for travel, meetings, and eventsPlan and coordinate security measures for domestic and international travelLead and manage a team of 2-4 Executive Protection Specialists, as well as teams of security consultants providing guidance, training, and performance evaluationsEstablish and maintain strong relationships with federal, state, and local law enforcement, security agencies, and other relevant organizationsDevelop and maintain emergency response plans and protocolsMonitor and analyze security trends and intelligence to proactively address potential threatsEnsure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policiesPrepare and present security briefings and reports to senior managementPerform other job-related duties as assignedThe successful candidate will possess:
Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilitiesStrong leadership and team management skillsProficiency in security technology and toolsAbility to develop and implement effective security plans and protocolsMaintain a high level of discretion and confidentialityStrong organizational and analytical skillsAbility to work in a high-pressure environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyExcellent verbal & written communication skills, especially in dealing with senior leadershipAn executive presenceStrong ability to work independently and as part of a small and growing teamAbility to work outside normal business hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, etc.Ability to exercise confidentiality and discretion as it relates to sensitive mattersMaintain a professional demeanor and business-like appearanceAbility to work under pressure and handle high-stress situationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsQualifications
Required:
US Citizenship requiredMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the futureBachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 15 years of experience in law enforcement or a related field with at least 5 years in a leadership roleWillingness to travel domestically and internationally as neededPreferred:
Prior experience in corporate securityPrior experience in leading and managing teamsPrior experience knowledge of security protocols, risk assessment, and threat analysisPrior experience using investigative databasesProfessional certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Personal Protection Specialist (PPS)You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
