In this role, you are expected to_ Provide timely, accurate and insightful expense forecasts to facilitate business decisions and to drive expense accountability for the Myanmar Office _Have the skills and knowledge for the job? Learn more about the opening below!_ **Key Responsibilities:** + Provide timely, accurate and insightful expense forecasts to facilitate business decisions and to drive expense accountability for the Myanmar Office. This requires working with regional functional teams and local teams to ensure that the information is sufficiently robust for decision-making purposes. + Partner with the key stakeholders, including the Function Owner, to identify the spending trend and patterns, potential savings / accrual needed and area of potential spending to align with and achieve the local Myanmar BU, Regional Office and Asia Division strategic goals. Provide monthly regional and local management reports to the functional heads and address any queries. + Manage Myanmar financial performance and cost management. This includes liaising with regional functional teams and the local Myanmar BU finance teams to ensure the allocation basis is appropriate, meets tax transfer pricing requirements, and is understood and accepted by the business units. + Lead and manage risks, ensuring compliance with regulations and work with local and regional counterparts. + Manage Financial reporting deliverables for Myanmar to ensure accurate and timely information is provided for Regional and Group external financial statement publication + Work with the regional office to develop, implement, maintain and operationalize expense policies to ensure that an expense-conscious culture is embedded within Manulife Asia. Work with the Myanmar business unit finance teams to ensure that this is mirrored at a functional level. + Participate in projects as assigned or other ad hoc activities. **Qualifications:** + University Business Degree and/or recognized accounting designation (Chartered Accountant or CPA is an advantage) + 3-5 years of progressive finance controllership, financial reporting and management experience + 2+ years of experience with Manulife finance + Strong Life Insurance background and related experience _for external candidates_ + Proven experience working with senior management teams (Strong stakeholder management requiring persuasion / influencing skills); relationship building and negotiation skills + 2+ prior experience of managing shared services team is an advantage + Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strong stakeholder management capabilities + Strong technical accounting skills with a solid understanding of the business environment + Advanced Excel skills and experience with database applications + Strong project management skills **_Let's make every day better together.
