Finance Analyst

Key Responsibilities:

Job Purpose

Contributing to overall financial sustainability and success with attaining departmental annual targets and objectives by uphold standards of excellence in processing, recording and conduct comprehensive financial analysis includes evaluating the cost-effectiveness of payment gateways, analyze income to facilitate informed decision-making in strategies.

Strategy Development & Planning

Maintain a strong control environment by ensuring compliance to WVI financial policies and donor regulations.

Develop financial procedures to ensure effective and accurate allocation of fund, making sure of its accounting records and reporting in accordance to FFM

Coordinate with internal and external audit to facilitate all finance audits of local funding under NRD unit.

Implement and follows up on recommendation from audits.

Resource Acquisition & Management/ Engagement /Project Management

Coordinate internal unit/department meeting at least on a monthly basis.

Maintain collaborative working relationships and pro-active participation in discussions, especially with RDC and FCS teams.

Involve in NRD fundraising activities as necessary.

Capacity Building/ Technical works

Ensure the availability of daily funding and good cash flow analysis.

Assist inbuilding the capacity of finance team/staff on financial systems and management with emphasis on SIMMA, GEMS and PV and other related systems.

Actively participate in the team planning, monitoring and evaluation processes.

Participate during discussions and orientations with financial institutions regarding new products, software and systems.

Accountability & Quality Assurance

Manage effective finance and accounting operations on donation processing ensuring compliance and efficient collection process.

Provide and review monthly income reports per plan as assigned.

Conduct financial modelling and forecasting to project donation revenue of assigned payment gateway.

Monitoring data reconciliation between bank statements, SUN and SIMMA is conducted in accordance with standards prior to monthly reporting.

Ensure the implementation of efficient and effective internal controls/measures in NRD.

Manage NRD in Finance and its resources in providing advice and services to related Departments and projects to be able to meet standards

Comply with year-end closing process including of year-end processes and reports.

Monitoring that unidentified transaction are managed appropriately.

Maintain accurate and updated sponsor and donor payments in the SIMMA system

Review the extracted monthly revenue transaction list from the designated payment gateway and provide notifications regarding adjustments for incorrect motivation codes.

Managed entries for outstanding bank reconciliation items.

Maintain effective relationship with relevant financial institutions and external vendors and partners

Stay informed and share learnings about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in fundraising and donation finance.

Prepared PBAS commitment entries for budgets related to Gift-In kind (GIK), Service-In kind (SIK) dan Gift Notifications (GN).

Proactively support the NRD team by assisting in system implementation and developing guidelines to enhance and streamline work processes. Identify opportunities for improvement, simplification, and automation of tasks to meet the evolving needs of the NRD team and improve overall efficiency.

Support and collaborate with Finance Manager to the planning and design of report automation processes from SIMMA and Sunsytem to Power BI, leveraging technology to enhance reporting efficiency and accuracy.

Support and collaborate with Finance Manager to improve or develop tools essential for promoting work effectiveness and efficiency within the NRD department.

Support audit foundation.

Management & Leadership

Develop and manage annual performance agreement

Submits periodical/ monthly accomplishment report

Build and maintain positive spirit of working in team with other staff in respective unit and department 

Provide Christian value and support to enrich the organization's life, faith, Christian commitments and ministry to the disadvantaged children and communities we seek to serve.

Be a role model and inspiration in managing work, communication and relationship with internal staff and external parties.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting.

3 years’ experience in Finance and Accounting

Proficiency with Computer skill (MS office, and other software applications)

Proficient in passive English skills (listening and reading).

Good working skills and manage stress.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and demands.
