Finance Analyst

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Finance Analyst.

What you’ll do:

As part of the finance group, he/she will be responsible for reporting & analyzing plant financial results and the general accounting processes such as FA & Inventory Cycle Counts. Furthermore, he/she will support financial close process (monthly basis), internal controls and FA Capex activities, such as internal processes, balance sheet reconciliations, and other reporting requirements. This position is expected to closely support of the operations and other functions (PLM’s, staff. supervisors, etc.), through timely and accurate achieving and/or exceeding financial goals. This position supports Finance lead for ensuring financial accounting activities at the location are following compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, local statutory requirements and Eaton Corporate policies and practice.  This role supports the development of and analysis of forecasts and actual performance and operational metrics, as well as being responsible for the participating in the profit plan with a focus on Expenses, FA and ensure that balance Sheets has not aged and uncontrolled registers that could affect plant P&L, as teh integrity of this guarantee a robust Internal control system.

 

Responsible fixed assets management in the plant including CapEx control.Support the preparation of the profit plan, rolling forecast and weekly performance reporting. Drives business to meet or exceed short term & long-term goals, initiatives and expectations.Provide business partnership to all areas of plant regarding functional expertise and cross-functional support, providing guidance and education as needed to plant personnel to achieve financial objectives. Act as advisor and provide counsel to plant staff and personnel regarding financial operations and interpretation of financial information.Ensure accurate and timely submission of data to the various Eaton systems (Oracle, Encore, DFT, OBIEE, BSC, Dashboard, etc.)Monitor internal controls and procedures are complying. Assist and participate in internal / external audits as required.Assist in resolution of general accounting and statutory accounting issues. As well as implement corrective actions as necessary.Support implementation of improvements to monthly closing procedures ensuring accuracy and timeliness, as well as continuous develop and improvement of financial modeling and tools (Checklist MJE and monthly checklist). Responsible for collect and analyze Inegi information monthly and annually.Responsible for performing Balance Sheet Reconciliation from FA Cycle Counts and FA accumulated depreciation-FA life analysis and be part of the balance Sheet review with GFSS. Responsible for ensuring that the disposal scrap process of fixed assets and non-productive material is completed since the schedule until the process invoice. Responsible for collect pictures and signs for all FA capitalizations. Participate and support on physical inventory and financial close and Profit Plan activities with accuracy, and in accordance with corporate timing and reporting requirements.Assist & participate in diverse accounting initiatives and projects as required.Drive continuous improvement of key financial metrics as they relate to the general accounting function. Maintain an atmosphere of teamwork and continuous improvement in order to achieve departmental and plant goals. Support plant, functional or corporate initiatives.Support and/or lead department activities related to process improvements and standard work.  Process, analyze and carry on cleaning of balance Accounts.Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accountant or Finance from an accredited institutionMinimum 2 years of work experience combined with a technical, specialized knowledge of general accounting that enables the incumbent to solve daily and high exposure problems.    Knowledge of manufacturing processes and systemsExperience in Internal finance auditory with SOX KnowledgeExperience in finance reporting  (Budget, projections & Expenses Control)Strong analytical skillsFluent in EnglishOracle & AS400 is a plusProficient in MS Office toolsetSkills: Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to replicate gained knowledgeTeamworkStrong problem-solving skills.Results orientedDigital mindsetAbility to act with integrity, professionalism and confidentiality
