Job Title: Finance Associate II / Financial Analyst
Job Description
The G&A Finance team is looking for an experienced professional to support the Legal organization to bring more scale, efficiency, and innovation. In this FP&A role, you will be deeply involved with high-profile strategic and operational initiatives, deliver business analytics and insights, and help make recommendations for short- and long-term decisions. You will also contribute meaningfully to business planning and forecasting, including the development of annual operating budgets, and support all ad hoc strategic projects.
Responsibilities
+ Partner with both Finance and Legal partners to develop and align key performance metrics that drive business growth, efficiencies, and highlight both risks and opportunities.
+ Build analyses to drive better investment decisions, such as return on operational spend, including presentations and developing business cases.
+ Provide hands-on analytic support to business and develop actionable insights that will influence key decision makers to allocate spend more effectively.
+ Support the building of operating budgets, quarterly forecasts, operating expenses, and capital expenditures.
+ Develop excel models and ad-hoc analyses for the business.
+ Engage in standard FP&A activities and deliverables such as MEC, accruals, PR/PO review and approvals, CW request review and approvals, BvA reporting, Dashboard updating, and budget and forecast input collection and consolidation.
Essential Skills
+ Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
+ Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
+ Previous FP&A experience (budgeting, forecasting, etc.).
+ Familiarity of OPEX and CAPEX
+ Previous experience with financial applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
+ Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field required.
+ Minimum of 3 years of related experience required.
+ Experience working for a large, public company.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Master's degree preferred.
+ Experience with SmartView, Looker Studio, Dashboard, and Tableau.
+ Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
+ Experience in financial planning and creating data-driven analysis.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment
100% onsite with a small team consisting of a total of 3 people. You will be involved in overall work with the GNA cross team of 10 people. The team supports the legal department. Engage with business partners to find solutions. Performance will be measured by the accuracy of work, timely responsiveness to business partners, and team members.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
