Finance Analyst I

Position Summary:

The Finance Analyst I is responsible for preparing and analyzing Accounts Payable charts, financial reports and account reconciliations. Monitors and ensures accuracy of accounting entries related to Accounts Payable. Analyze, track data and resolve accounting entries that flow through bank interface, the vendor's and Regal's various Business Software/ERP. Has deep background and understanding in banking and accounting principles such as credit memo, debit memo, journal, reversing, adjusting entries, GL Codes, and bank entries necessary for account resolution and reconciliation. The Finance Analyst I is also expected to provide tactical support to the purchase-to-pay process by coordinating with sourcing, procurement, inventory and operations team by reviewing, analyzing, documenting and validating user requirements, applications and processes. Provides support to key Finance personnel with project execution, report generation and finance processes and system maintenance. He/she must be knowledgeable in project management processes; recommends and acts as Project Lead to process improvements. Coach and assist in training of less experienced employees. Performs tasks in accordance with statutory regulations, SOX and Corporate accounting standards/policies. Collaborates with internal and external customers and other functions to ensure projects support Regal initiatives. Applies some advanced skills and may adapt procedures and processes to meet the more complex requirements of the position. In addition, he/ she will provide support, as may be required, to the various accounts payable activities in ALL locations served by Regal Rexnord.

Major Responsibilities

Accounting Data Reports and AnalysisReconciliation of accounting entries and complex invoices/statements last day of close by requesting and reviewing statement of accounts regularly.Review AP subledger and makes sure old invoices are paid or cleared.Work with GL team at month-end to provide intercompany reconciliation verification and support for accrual.Process bank related transactionsInvoice processing for assigned intercompany trading partnersInvoice holds management for assigned vendors/IC partners by coordinating with suppliers, other departments for invoice resolution holding regular cadence with internal contacts to resolve issues preventing payment.Track intercompany balance and GRNI balances.May perform clearing and process payments.SOX compliance validationCost center allocation of invoicesIssue ResolutionCommon mailbox maintenanceMonthly productivity report/metrics reportingBack-up for other Accounts Payable/Receivable CoordinatorsProcess documentationApplies appropriate accounts payable team’s internal controls, related SOX policy and RRX CP&P’sOther tasks which may be assigned by his/her immediate superior/team

Required Education / Experience / Skills

Education: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably Accounting/Finance or business-related courseJob Related Experience: Preferably with at least 5 years working experience, 2 years of which should be in accounts payable / payments processingSpecific Knowledge: Practical Knowledge in ERP Applications (Oracle, Esker, SAP, Filebound)Proficient in MS Office applications (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)Internal Audit Control
