The Financial Analyst provides analytical and financial modeling support to the Finance Manager in evaluating and developing new business opportunities, and other relevant tasks associated with opportunity assessment. This role involves, among others, conducting market research, financial analysis, due diligence, and debt and liquidity management to assess the viability, profitability, and cash flow implications of potential ventures and initiatives.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Strategic Financial Modeling & Analysis:

Develop and deploy financial and valuations models (focusing on discounted cash flows, profitability analysis, return on investments, etc.) to drive informed investment decisions.

Conduct rigorous sensitivity and scenario analyses to quantify financial risks and opportunities, informing strategic planning.

Construct comprehensive business case analyses and financial presentations, delivering actionable insights to senior management.

Generate detailed budgets, forecasts, and multi-year financial plans to guide business strategy.

Perform in-depth business case analyses for customer pricing and project evaluations, optimizing profitability.

Due Diligence & Market Intelligence:

Lead financial due diligence for potential acquisitions and partnerships, identifying critical financial risks and opportunities through meticulous analysis of financial statements.

Gather and synthesize market data, industry trends, and competitor intelligence to inform business development strategies and identify emerging risks.

Provide strategic insights on market dynamics and potential risks, empowering proactive decision-making.

Coordinate with relevant internal teams; i.e, shareholder representatives involved with investment management, where required.

Financial Management & Reporting:

Monitor and report on the financial performance of existing and new business development initiatives, delivering key performance indicators (KPIs) and actionable recommendations.

Ensure compliance with debt covenants and other financing KPIs, through diligent monthly monitoring and review.

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with banks and financial institutions, facilitating loan acquisition and management.

Produce regular, insightful financial reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting performance drivers and strategic implications.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on financial assumptions, drive cross-functional initiatives, and ensure data integrity.

Execute ad-hoc financial analyses and projects as required.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis or a related role.

CFA or CPA designation is a plus.

Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant tools.

Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and prioritize in a dynamic environment, to successful completion, and work within tight deadlines

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate financial concepts to non-finance business partners in a clear and concise manner, at all levels of the organization

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Attention to detail and accuracy.
