Finance Analyst - Tax Operations
Salary Mid-Point: $75,000 Location: Toronto ON Job Type: Permanent

Our client, a large tech firm, is looking for a detail-oriented Finance Analyst to support day-to-day tax-related operations for our US and Canadian markets. While in-depth tax expertise is not required, this role involves administrative and coordination tasks, ensuring smooth processes across various tax-related activities. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable managing communication with internal teams, consultants, and external customers.

***This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in office

The Key Responsibilities include the following; 

US Sales Tax Coordination:

Serve as the point of contact for questions related to US sales tax rates on sold items Coordinate inquiries from operational and finance teams with external tax consultants, ensuring timely resolutions Exemption Certificates Management: Request, validate, and upload exemption certificates from customers in the US and Canada Proactively manage renewals and updates for existing certificates Canadian Tax Compliance: Handle federal and provincial tender requirements, including retrieving and managing CRA certificates Manage access to CRA systems and other related platforms Business Licenses: Maintain and update business licenses for various provinces, ensuring compliance with local regulations Audit Support: Collaborate with external tax consultants during ongoing sales tax audits Collect and provide necessary information and documentation from internal systems to support audit requirements To be considered for this role, our client is looking for someone with the following skills/qualifications; Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred 2+ years of experience in a similar administrative or finance role, preferably in a corporate environment Familiarity with US sales tax and Canadian tax operations is an asset but not required Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and coordination abilities Proficiency in using tax systems and general office software (e.g., Excel, ERP systems) What our clients is offering;  Opportunity to work with a leading tech company in a dynamic environment A collaborative team and supportive work culture Career growth and learning opportunities in tax operations and finance If you are qualified and interested in this position, please send your updated resume in MS Word format to Priyanka at Priyanka2@ifgpr.com today.
