We have an exciting opportunity available for a Finance Analyst to join us on a permanent basis, within our Vintage division.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role plays an integral part in providing financial and commercial support to the division with the collection, preparation and presentation of financial and management information. This information supports and informs decision making within the team and contributes to the maintenance and development of relevant reporting and information systems.

Key responsibilities:
Preparation of monthly management accounts including full profit and loss, preparing and posting journals, overhead reports Invoice checking and coding Preparation of analysis of performance around new and older titles and reporting on different genres. Budget and forecast preparation, for turnover and verifying specific title costs, compiling budget Key Performance Indicator packs for distribution. Acquisition profit and loss assessment on a title level including the levels at which bonus advances maybe appropriate. Liaising with the marketing team to update and review marketing spend. Robust analysis on author, titles, or markets to aid decision making within the Publishing House, in a timely manner, this analysis would include all revenue and costs associated with that area. Dealing with internal partners, e.g. Group Finance, Royalties Rights, Contracts, Sales, Editorial
What you’ll bring:
Excellent numeracy skills and good commercial outlook Ability to convey complex financial information to non-finance colleagues and partners across the business, and build strong working relationships Good excel skills including pivot tables, and what if statements Organised and proactive, with strong attention to detail Ability to learn new IT systems and processes Ability to analyse, evaluate and interpret commercial and financial data Experience within the media industry is desirable but not essential Experience of using financial accounting systems is preferred

Salary
£30,000 – £35,000 depending on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus bonus and benefits.
