Finance and Accounting Specialist
**THE POSITION** Responsible for various accounting and budgeting requirements for the Canadian legal entities. Support of month end and year end accounting processes, journal entries and account reconciliations. Support the Budget and Outlook process related to Cash Flow planning, Workforce Planning and Planning Process Oversight. Responsible for Infrastructure and IT Controlling related to monthly reporting, accruals and business partnering on cost centre expenses. This includes treasury support for all Canadian legal entities and liaison with GBSC regarding cash balances and financing transactions. Oversight of GST/HST filings, refunds and payroll tax remittance. **Responsibilities** + Responsible for the Cashflow Planning requirements for all Canadian legal entities as part of the OL+1 and LTF submissions. + Month and Year end accounting requirements including account reconciliations, Statistics Canada, journal entries. Support Year End and Interim Audit requirements. Run Book back up (Monthend Close). + Responsible for Infrastructure and IT Controlling related to monthly reporting, accruals and business partnering on cost centre expenses. Work closely with Head of IT and Head of Infrastructure supporting their financial needs. + SPOC for Workforce Planning system used during OL & LTF. Train Cost Centre owners on requirements and answer questions raised during planning process. Complete reporting of WFP, review and provide to Finance and HR. + Planning Process Oversight - Key user for Global planning systems including myplanning, Allevo. Train business on Planning related topics. + Oversight of GST/HST filings, refunds and payroll tax remittance. + Back up other Finance positions as required(eg.credit release, Concur T&E processes, vendor approvals). + Work closely with the Global Business Service Centre (GBSC)on cash balances and cash forecasts and recommend financing decisions based on monitoring (i.e. Loan to Finance extended payment terms). This position is based in the Burlington, Ontario office located at 5180 South Service Road and is **flexible** . Employees in flexible roles are required to be at the office a minimum of 50% of the time each month and must report to the office when requested and required by their Manager/Department. **Requirements** + University degree in business or accounting college diploma.
