Your role and responsibilities

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through various projects. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities.The work model for the role is hybrid in New Berlin, Wisconsin. This role is contributing to the Finance and Site Activities at the New Berlin Drives HQ.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tAd Hoc Financial Analyses:o\tConduct in-depth financial analyses with a focus on cost reduction and operational efficiencies.o\tIdentify areas for improvement and recommend actionable solutions.•\tOperational Reporting:o\tCreate and maintain standard reports that enhance cost transparency across the shared site functions.o\tCollaborate with relevant teams to ensure accurate data collection and reporting.•\tWarehouse and Facilities Support:o\tWork closely with the Warehouse Manager and SCM team to resolve inbound receiving issueso\tWork with Operations Controller and warehouse manager to review and analyze warehouse costs and allocationso\tWork with facilities manager to understand the vendor support, and various costs for services and support at the site•\tMonth-End Close Support:o\tAssist the finance team during the month-end close process by preparing and posting journal entries.•\tPerform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary.•\tLiving ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues, and the business.

Qualifications for the role

\tCurrently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Finance, Accounting, or a related field \tProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel but Power BI is a plus\tFamiliarity with financial accounting principles\tStrong verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact effectively at all levels within the organization\tHighly motivated and capable of handling multiple responsibilities \tIntern must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite. \tMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
