Finance Associate - Biomedical Engineering
Finance Associates operate as emerging professionals in finance. They may be responsible for a variety of professional level work across various financial disciplines, such as accounting, budget, payroll, financial aid, financial analysis, purchasing, or treasury. Through professional development and work opportunities, they may concentrate on building a more targeted skill set in one particular financial specialty. Finance Associates demonstrate a strong capacity to work independently as they carry out their duties on behalf of a program, function, or department. Finance Associates operate in collaboration with more experienced professionals, who mentor and support their development.

Analyze fund accounts, special projects, or tasks to ensure appropriate entries are made and monitor the account balances.Maintain financial records for department funds, following University and departmental policies and procedures, and maintain all documentation and records to meet audit requirements.Prepare or oversee the preparation of purchase orders and payment vouchers. Pay bills promptly so the department complies with the University's prompt pay requirements, and resolve any discrepancies with vendors as needed.Manage the financial aid budgets of the school, process awards in SIS, and reconcile financial aid accounts.Serve as a department representative in pan-institutional finance initiatives or committees. Attend standing meetings and training sessions as needed to keep apprised of changes in policy and procedures.

In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

This position will remain open until filled. This is a non-exempt level, benefited position. Salary range: $55K to $$58K per year commensurate with education and experience.
