Finance Budget Coordinator **POSITION DETAILS** The CUNY School of Labor and Urban Studies (SLU) was established in August 2018 and is the newest School within the CUNY system. The mission of the School is to: 1) offer undergraduate and graduate programs of labor and urban studies to working adults and traditional-age students; 2) expand educational opportunities to working adults while meeting the workforce development needs of the City and State, and 3) serving the labor and broader community by conducting research, offering leadership development programs, hosting forums and national conferences, and publishing national labor journals to promote debate on issues critical to labor and working-class communities. SLU seeks a Finance Budget Coordinator to join our team.Reporting to the Finance Budget Manager, and in collaboration with all Finance and Business Affairs Staff, the Finance Budget Coordinator will play a key role in the execution of essential business functions for the School. Duties include but are not limited to the following: + Review and reconcile biweekly payroll data by downloading earnings information from the NYS payroll system (PayServ) and the University’s integrated tool (CUNYfirst), ensuring accuracy and identifying any discrepancies + Promptly investigate and resolve discrepancies related to chart fields, account numbers, or budget allocations to ensure seamless integration between PayServ and CUNYfirst + Generate and maintain the master Personnel Services (PS) budget analysis report for the School of Labor and Urban Studies (SLU), along with additional reports as needed + Present the updated master PS budget analysis report to SLU's budget team; addressing questions and providing clarifications or adjustments based on feedback + Create chart fields and position line numbers for new hires, promotions, and other position changes to ensure proper payroll processing + Other duties as assigned This is a hybrid position. **QUALIFICATIONS** Bachelor's Degree required. **CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW** Administers program and unit budgets and related functions. - Processes and maintains data in budget systems - Prepares budgets, projections and financial reports - Collects and reports fiscal information as required, and assists in analyzing financial information - Coordinates with various departments on budget and accounting matters - Monitors systems and operational issues to improve overall workflows - Performs related duties as assigned. Job Title Name: Finance Budget Coordinator **CUNY TITLE** Assistant to HEO **FLSA** Non-exempt **COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS** Salary range is $60,394 - $65,946, commensurate with education and experience. CUNY is in the process of implementing salary schedule increases. Once implemented, salaries of eligible employees will be adjusted by 6.09% with additional increases of 3.25% effective 9/1/2025 and 3.5% effective 9/1/26, in accordance with the terms of the PSC-CUNY collective bargaining agreement.
