We are seeking a talented individual to join our Corporate Financial Planning & Analytics (FP&A) team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in New York, and it is a hybrid role with a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As a Finance Business Partner Specialist, you will consult with function leaders to understand their objectives, develop and analyze their plans, and provide them with the essential financial insights they need to make effective business decisions. A Finance Business Partner Specialist is an established, independent individual contributor, whose work has a direct impact on the team's outcomes.
We will count on you to:
Collaborate with manager and team members to prepare budgets, allocations, forecasts, monthly variance reports, and conduct expense analysis for Corporate Function budgetsReview and analyze financial planning data and reports to provide actionable recommendations to managementSupport the month-end close process by evaluating recurring and ad hoc reports, developing a comprehensive understanding of P&L structures, and analyzing variances against forecasts, budgets, and prior year resultsAnalyze data extracts from MMC’s data warehouse to support key strategic initiativesAssist in creating financial presentations utilizing various formats, including charts, graphs, and other business intelligence visualization toolsResearch, identify, and explain expense and operational variances to highlight risks and opportunities for improvementCollaborate with manager to define and deliver standardized expense reporting and allocation templates. Generate and deliver regular and ad hoc reports to business partnersManage and execute special projects, including report standardization, financial model development, and the integration of the latest business intelligence tools to enhance recurring activitiesWhat you need to have:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field2-3 years in a financial analysis role or accounting roleExceptional skills in financial modeling to execute the forecast, financial planning and reporting processesSelf-motivated with the ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment\\Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skillsKnowledge with financial systems (Oracle, Essbase)What makes you stand out?

Marsh McLennan is committed to hybrid work, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All Marsh McLennan colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.
The applicable base salary range for this role is $68,400 to $137,000.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
