What we are looking for:

In this unique and critical role, we are seeking an autonomous leader and subject matter expert in government compliance to join our Corporate Finance/Price Team to support the Defense and Security Business Unit. You will be supporting government, financial, commercial, and internal compliance of cost and prices in bids and proposals.

Responsibilities:

Build and keep current knowledge and application of the government procurement policies and cost accounting principles in Canada and other countries where we are doing business. (Ie: Canada: 1031.2 Cost Principles, US: FAR Part 15.).Lead and Support:Government cost & price audits.Annual rate negotiations with the Canadian Government.Customer cost and price fact-finding inquiries.Support the commercialization of products.Internal Control documentation and sensitive data governance.Transfer Pricing Analysis for intercompany transactions.Cashflow analysis and tracking.Support the financial modeling of business cases.Ensure cost and price data, tools and methodologies are adequate, substantiated, and supportable.Interact with functional different groups (Proposals, Tax, Treasury, Internal Audit, Corporate Finance) as required to fulfil mandate.Review all contract clauses for commercial/financial documents and make recommendations such that CAE's financial risk is minimized, and customer's requirements are met.

Requirements:

University degree in finances, administration or other with supporting experience.  CPA an assetMinimum 8 – 12 years of experience in accounting and/or corporate finance.Knowledge of and experience in the Canadian and US Government procurement regulations (Ie: Canada: 1031.2 Cost Principles, US: FAR Part 15 etc.) an asset and preferred.Capability of obtaining a Canadian Security & Controlled Goods clearance (mandatory).Experience in project cost accounting an asset.Relevant experience and knowledge in accounting regulations (IFRS) & financial principles would be an asset.Possess strong leadership and critical thinking skills.Excellent analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills is required.Ability to effectively communicate diplomatically with government agencies and upper management.High performer in a fast-paced dynamic environment.Proficiency with MS Office tools.Bilingual – English and French.
