**Job Description:**
**JOB TITLE:** Finance Controller – APAC
**JOB SUMMARY:** The Financial Controller for the APAC region is responsible for the oversight of all financial activities for our operating entities within the region. This includes general accounting, compliance, financial planning & analysis, working capital management, and taxation. The role reports to the Finance Leader for the SendTech Business Unit.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:**
+ General Accounting:
+ Reviewing and approving general journal entries and account reconciliations as needed for the region
+ Reviewing and certifying monthly “actuals” financial package submissions
+ Conducting periodic balance sheet and income statement variance analysis
+ Compliance / Regulatory / Treasury
+ Managed external and internal audits
+ Oversee indirect tax process, including ensuring the timing completion of relevant returns and filings
+ Coordinate with Corporate Income Tax Team to ensure timely and appropriate completion of any relevant income tax matters
+ Manage board resolutions related to banking operations, including account openings/closings and authorized signatory updates
+ Support Board Meetings and Annual General Meetings (AGM) with relevant financial inputs and documentation
+ Manage multiple banking operations across HSBC, Citi, HDFC, and SBI accounts, including receipt reviews, cluster deposits, payment approvals, and statutory payments (TDS/TCS/PF)
+ Billing and Collections
+ Supervise invoicing (equipment, supplies, rental, service) and revenue recognition.
+ Review advanced billings, weekly collection reviews (WCR), and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
+ Financial, Planning, and Analysis
+ Lead the development of annual budgets, long-term plans, and financial forecasts to align financial goals with strategic objectives
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate inputs and ensure accuracy
+ Perform in-depth financial analyses, focusing on revenue trends, cost management, and profitability
+ Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports for senior leadership
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation
+ Fluent in English (read, write, speak)
+ Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in finance operations, compliance, and FP&A
+ Expertise in direct and indirect taxation, audit management, vendor management, and financial reporting
+ Proficiency in financial tools and systems (e.g., Hyperion Financial Management, Microsoft Business Central ERP platforms)
+ Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
+ Proven ability to work collaboratively across domestic and internation departments and drive strategic initiatives
