Finance Controller / Chief Accountant (Greece)

Overview:

KONE is seeking an experienced and talented Finance Controller / Chief Accountant to join our team in Greece. This role will focus on enhancing financial controlling capabilities, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, and supporting efficient financial processes in compliance with global and local standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Own and manage the legal entity income statement and balance sheet, ensuring correct and timely reporting according to KONE's standards, local GAAP, and legal requirements.Provide insights to management regarding regulatory considerations affecting business decisions.Drive improvements in financial processes, including the utilization of external partners, to enhance efficiency.Serve as the main contact for auditors and global teams on financial controlling matters for the legal entities.Ensure the implementation of global finance processes and internal controls within the legal entities.Oversee and manage financial and tax audits for the legal entities.Review and optimize finance control processes, including ledger accounting, taxes, statutory and financial reporting, and accounts receivable and payable.Ensure proper local tax compliance.Manage external partnerships to ensure high-quality financial work.Collaborate with regional and head office teams to align financial strategies and operations.Support Treasury in banking documentation and liquidity forecasting.Actively participate in change projects, such as new systems, operating model changes, and process improvements.

Required Qualifications and Skills: 

Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Chief Accountant.University degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong technical skills (MS Excel, SAP, or equivalent systems; fluency in data warehouse tools).In-depth knowledge of local tax regulations, accounting standards, IFRS, and legal legislation.Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive, can-do attitude.Ability to operate in a fast-changing environment and redesign several processes.Fluent in English with strong communication skills.Independent, responsible, and self-driven.Experience in managing and improving external partnerships.Experience with change management, collaboration, and network building.SAP experience is an asset.
