Finance Controller- hybrid
Sheridan Maine is delighted to be working with a Hampshire based client that operates in an interesting and niche sector. They are currently recruiting for a technically strong qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) Accountant to join their team as Finance Controller.  

The successful candidate will have previously led and developed a finance team within a larger organisation with experience and knowledge of process improvement and leading change.

Your responsibilities will include providing leadership and guidance to a reporting team undertaking the following tasks:
Take responsibility for financial control, accounting and reportingPreparation of financial and management reportsManaging preparation of all statutory compliance documentation and VAT returnsCreation of daily, weekly and monthly reportsEnsure all deadlines are met and completedUnderstanding business needs and ensuring that processes are aligned and compliantEnsure compliance with statutory requirementsCoordination of financial statementsProject related activities around process enhancement and changeBuild and maintain good relationships with all stakeholdersWhat you will need to be considered for this role:
Qualified accountant ACA /  ACCA / CIMAStrong technical accounting expertise   Experience of leading and developing teams within a larger organisationProven background working on process improvement projects coupled with implementing changeExperience of working with a range of stakeholdersStrong communication skillsYou are required to be eligible to work in the UK full time without restriction.
