Responsibilities:

Reporting, Planning & Budgeting:

Oversee the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Analyze financial performance against targets and provide insights and recommendations to management.
Prepare annual operating and capital budgets, as well as monthly forecasts.
Create timely and accurate accounting reports.
Review financial data and create reports based on analysis results.
Participate in business planning and financial standards-setting processes.

Strategy:

Optimize accounting systems and procedures and detect inaccuracies.
Prepare rolling forecasts incorporating actual performance and market analysis.
Develop financial models to assess the impact of strategic initiatives.
Participate in goal-setting activities and month-end/year-end close processes.
Ensure compliance with IFRS requirements.
Collaborate with peers to improve financial operations.

Control & Monitoring:

Monitor profitability of business units.
Review and manage General Ledger (GL) accounts.
Identify irregularities in account trends and ensure proper adjustments.
Align with the marketing team on expenditures and manage provisions.
Conduct COGS analysis and determine root causes of changes.
Oversee intercompany account reconciliations.
Compare monthly reports with prior years and budget projections.

Monitoring Tools:

Lead as the project manager for the Business Intelligence (BI) system.
Create reports to ensure effective financial monitoring.

Team Management:

Manage the finance team and train a successor for the position.
Align team goals with company strategy.
Build strong relationships across departments.
Train non-financial managers on financial reports and terminology.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a financial/business controller, accounting manager, or senior finance controller.
Certification such as ACCA, CIMA, or CPA is a plus.
Strong experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end processes.
Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.
Practical experience with accounting software packages.
Proficiency in financial statements and business trends.
Expert-level Excel skills and strong MS Office knowledge.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong time management and presentation skills.
