In this position you are responsible for the effective governance, controls, oversight and management of Baker Hughes International BV and its subsidiaries, in addition you will drive the execution of controllership processes, initiatives and finance excellence.
The Finance Controller will actively participate on the internal Board of Directors meetings, prepare and review with the Finance Director the financial performance, to enable taking strategic decisions regarding the participations of the holding company and approval of the annual budgets and financial statements.

The Finance Controller will be part of a global controllership team spread across all international regions, providing strategic partnership to the Global Finance Organization (GFO), cross-functional teams and the business segments through specialized regional and country knowledge, successful navigation of local requirements, and acceleration of issue resolution.
It is envisaged that the Finance Controller will execute his responsibilities leveraging the work and support of the broader Baker Hughes finance, accounting, stat, tax, treasury and legal teams.
As Finance Controller, you will be responsible for:
Organizing, preparing, and actively participating on the internal Board of Directors meetings of the Global Holding Company. Supporting the Finance Director in reviewing the financials enabling taking strategic decisions with respect to the participations (including evaluation and approval of contributions or distributions) and signing off and approving the annual financial statements and budgetProviding controllership leadership and closely collaborating with (STAT, TAX, Legal / Corp. Secretary and Treasury) on managing the Dutch legal entities, ensuring the maintenance of appropriate governance, including the timely regulatory reporting requirements (e.g. CFI benchmarking, Dutch central bank reporting, and future CSRD reporting obligations).Partnering with other Finance teams (e.g. Segments Finance Teams, STAT, Tax and Global Accounting) as well as broader Baker Hughes Operational teams to ensure excellence of operational & transactional accounting:Oversight and sign off for statutory financial statements in country, including acting as key in-country liaison with the external auditorSupport for tax team delivery of tax filings, including Pillar 2 process and complianceEnsure balance sheet quality (including timeliness and quality of account reconciliations)Maintaining and strengthening internal controls, including working closely with the broader team to remedy internal controls matters or resolving any discovered SOX deficiencies.Coordinating internal audits, partnering with business and functional owners to drive closure of issues.Identifying and timely communicating risks and opportunities, providing support and guidance for operational requirements, and fostering cross-functional team interaction to drive action plans.Undertaking ad hoc projects or key initiatives at country level or across the global regions.Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role you will:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance or accounting from an accredited university. CPA or equivalent certification preferred. Several years of experience in Controllership Management. Expertise in Dutch and European regulations, reporting requirements, legal entity management and governance. Have broad experience between accounting firms as well as multinational company Full professional proficiency in English; proficiency in Dutch is highly desirable.
