Finance Coordinator - (PLMSP - Palladium)

About Pacific Labour Mobility Support Program     
The Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme is a signature initiative for the Australian Government that enables workers from 9 Pacific Island Countries (PICs) and Timor- Leste to work in priority sectors in Australia. The Pacific Labour Mobility Support Program’s (PLMSP) role is to provide the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and governments in 9 PICs and Timor-Leste with support to enable workers to access PALM scheme in inclusive ways that maximise the benefits for the workers and national economies while minimising risks from labour mobility participation. Palladium is contracted to deliver PLMSP on behalf of DFAT.  

 

This Opportunity  
The Finance Coordinator will be responsible for providing financial management support to Finance Manager, and broader project team.


This is a fixed term opportunity required for 3 years with possibility of extension.  

The Finance Coordinator will be responsible for:  

Implementing client compliance, manage financial accounts, process payments, and conduct internal audits.Delivering financial training to the project team and support the Finance Manager with transaction evidence and monthly spot checks.Handling day-to-day operations of processing and paying suppliers, maintain credit card registers, and process expense claims.Managing the project bank account, prepare fund transfers, and undertake banking transactions including petty cash management.Developing and maintaining professional relationships with clients and stakeholders, support onboarding and training of peers, and foster an inclusive work environment.

 We are seeking an individual who will bring:  

Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Business, Administration, or equivalent experience and education.Proven experience in managing project finances.Strong problem-solving, management, and strategic thinking skills; excellent attention to detail and data entry.Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with proficiency in English.Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with diverse personnel.
