Finance Data Reporting Analyst Sr

Summary:

The Finance Data Reporting Developer is a data specialist that gathers and analyzes data, prepares reports, and introducing process improvements throughout the reporting process. Individuals in this role have excellent analytical and technical skills, in addition to a keen ability to determine specifications and standards for business reporting and maintaining data integrity.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Gather and maintain a wide array of data-related business processes and reportingWork with data structures and metadata to ensure consistency, security, and accessibilityExercise sound judgment while analyzing and interpreting data to ensure a high level of accuracy, timeliness, and usefulness for business leadersPrepare business documents and presentations for upper management and executivesUse data-gathering and modeling strategies to provide an overview of new processes and enhanced procedures for business-wide reporting in addition to preparing the reports, which include data on customers and financial performanceWork across business lines, conferring with managers and executives to gather requirements and specifications while developing enhanced data and reporting toolsWork directly with team leaders to gain a better sense of the current shortcomings in reporting technology and devise solutions to enhance reporting and data managementUtilizes and analyzes data to prepare reports and introduce process improvementsAnalyze and maintain business data-related processes for new and existing reportingAnalyze and interpret data to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and usefulness to reporting consumersPerform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's in Finance or Information Technology,3+ years experience in finance and financial data/reporting/systems support

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with particular technologies: OFSAA, AXIOM, BI tools, Database analytic toolsExposure to Regulatory Reports: FR-Y9C, FFIEC 031, FR 2052a, FR 2028D, FR-Y14, etc.Knowledge of finance business processes and the interaction between systems and processes, including strong Excel skills, database query skillsSOX compliance in a publicly traded company, the Record to Report (R2R) cycle, and the management reporting cycle
