Job Description:We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Finance Decision Support Lead to join our team. This role is pivotal in overseeing the financial aspects of our project portfolios, ensuring accurate project costing, revenue recognition, and the creation and maintenance of labor cost pools and cost methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance transformation, sales and revenue analytics, and proven leadership experience.
Responsibilities:
Project Profitability:
Oversee the development and implementation of project costing methodologies to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.Manage revenue recognition processes in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.Create and maintain labor cost pools to allocate labor costs accurately across projects.Develop and manage cost methodologies to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting.Implement analytically driven forecasting based on pipeline, sales and backlog financial modeling.Leadership and Stakeholder Communication:
Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring they have the resources and knowledge needed to succeed.Communicate financial progress and issues to senior management and other stakeholders.Collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure financial objectives are met.Risk Management and Financial Reporting:
Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with projects.Develop strategies to manage financial uncertainties and ensure project success.Prepare and present financial reports on project performance to senior leadership.Ensure accurate and timely financial management reporting in compliance with organizational policies and regulations.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.Minimum of 8 years of experience in project finance management, including project costing and revenue recognition.Proven experience in creating and maintaining labor cost pools and cost methodologies.Strong leadership skills with experience leading a team of finance professionals.Deep knowledge of finance transformation initiatives and best practices.Expertise in sales and revenue analytics, with a track record of driving revenue growth.Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.The compensation range for this role is $137,340 to $297,570 Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
