Sensient Technologies New Zealand, is a fast growing business unit within the Sensient Flavours & Colours, Asia-Pacific Group.  We provide quality food ingredients to our customers on a world-wide basis, and are highly successful through our attention to customer service, creative technological innovation and product quality. We currently seek a Controller to join our team at our Mt Wellington, Auckland facility. You will direct the accounting, financial reporting, and business planning for the business unit. This position is also responsible for ensuring exceptional service is provided to both internal and external customers. You will be an essential and valued member of this team.

What you will do: 

Provide primary financial support as Controller for the New Zealand business unit and to the Management Team. Understand and ensure compliance with all Statutory and Corporate accounting practices and policies. Serve as a key member of the New Zealand management team. Provide effective analysis to support a broad spectrum of decision-making.Direct the preparation of the annual business plan and budget.Manage and direct the relevant finance/accounting staff and other staff within the Business as assigned.You will provide local support to the Team on the HR and IT issues. 

What you’ll bring:

Bachelor’s Degree or four (4) year equivalent in Accounting; must be a certified Public Accountant/CA or equivalent.Minimum of 7 years’ experience as proven Controller or Finance Manager, preferably in a U.S. GAAP reporting, Multi-national Company, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.A passion for detail and ability to explain. Advanced background in Accounting computer systems, preferably with exposure to JD Edwards or similar ERP systems.
