Role Overview: As Finance Director, you will have a key role in shaping the company’s financial operations, reporting directly to the group CFO. You will manage day-to-day finance functions while leading strategic initiatives to ensure alignment with company goals and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor the finance team, ensuring timely month-end reporting and full regulatory compliance. Develop a thorough understanding of financial reporting structures and general ledger systems to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Drive monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams on budgeting and forecasting. Identify opportunities for process optimisation and resource allocation, improving departmental efficiency without compromising accuracy. Provide expertise on non-routine financial transactions. Lead the implementation of procedural enhancements and technological innovations to streamline workflows and elevate performance. Conduct training sessions for staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Collaborate with the Director on special projects and workflow improvements.Qualifications/Skills:
ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with proven success in finance management roles. Prior experience in TV production or the media sector is highly desirable. Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams. Proficient in accounting software with a deep understanding of accounting principles and standards.
