Finance Director India

The India Finance Director has full accountability for all financial functions within the India business including manufacturing plants. This role will partner with the business and the functional leaders to develop and execute our strategic initiatives and deliver on plan commitments for all volume, Ebit and cash. They will support all entities by managing the financial plans and providing reporting systems supporting the achieving of their profit and cash flow targets as well as aiding in the development of key local and PBU business goals.

 

They will lead the business to optimize cost and lead growth projects to on time delivery and within budget. Ensure continuous review and implementation of local policies and Internal control procedures appropriate to the business to enable full compliance with company policies and Sarbanes-Oxley legislation. Provide framework, staffing, support, training, and financial decision making for all entities to enable the local finance divisions to complete their functions effectively and in line with corporate requirements. Act as a key leader within the India and Regional Finance Executive Teams; focusing on developing talent and organizational capabilities for Finance & IT.

 

Job Duties / Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

 

Business Partnering:

Has the ultimate responsibility for ensuring accurate and timely completion of all annual operating plans, updated forecasts, and actual financial results (including MOR reports) for all entities including the manufacturing sites and determine local funding requirements ensuring adequate resources are available. Lead both short- & long-term financial planning for the business and be a key contributor to building up the business strategy. Develop and execute pricing strategies to maximize the brand value.

 

Compliance and Control Culture:

Provide reasonable assurance that the books and records of the Company reflect transactions properly and establish policies that are effective in protecting the Company's assets. Ensure the compliance requirements for the business are fulfilled and applied and contribute to establishing a compliance culture.

 

Project Managements & Business Simplification:

Eliminate non-value-add activities, streamline process to speed up decision making; Supporting growth projects; Leveraging GBS for transactional support. Optimize organization structure to improve efficacy and drive process simplification.

 

People management & leadership:

Drive high performance team. Provide clear functional direction & focus, ensure all associates have clear responsibilities and are held accountable for their performance. Drive associate engagement, implement a reward and recognition culture aligned with delivery of CVP. Drive talent development and retention of high performing/high potential staff, with focus on succession.

Information Technology

Lead the IT function locally to identify needs and opportunities for information systems and the application of information and communications technology. Support the team to design, create, implement, and maintain effective information systems that support the Company's business objectives.

 

KEY EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field & CPA Qualified Master’s Degree Preferred Minimum 15 years finance experience with at least 5 years in a senior management role at a large complex organization with manufacturing coverage. Demonstrated strong experience in developing / implementing strategies in a large, geographically diverse, and complex company. Demonstrated experience collaborating and partnering with senior leadership teams across the business. Proven leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities. Integrate group financial strategies and translate into actionable plans. Strong team leadership and development. Demonstrated experience in continually improving processes and controls to drive a positive commercial outcome.

 

KEY SKILLS

Strong Finance Chain experience and commercial acumen.  Established leadership skills together with strength of character enabling the ability to drive, influence and negotiate across corporate, retail, manufacturing, and distribution businesses to ensure compliance with Goodyear and SOX policies.  Knowledge of Finance development, implementation, and management of technology to reduce costs and improve efficiencies.  Strong communication and influencing skills. High integrity, maintain objective view on business and management issues. Strong leadership and team player.
