Summary:
The responsibility of the Cloud Data Center Finance Senior Specialist role is part of a global team and is the overall responsible for finance management within GCID Data Center and Infrastructure Lifecycle Services team (DLS). You will work very closely with technical and business experts from GCID Data Center and Infrastructure Lifecycle Services team as well as from GCID CCDE Strategic Cloud Management & Controlling, Procurement.

The Role:
The role is within the GCID Data Center and Infrastructure Lifecycle Services team (DLS).
As a Consultant for Financial Services you will have a high responsibility that spans from leading services supporting financial service for teams w/i. the DLS organization. Examples for concrete topics are optimization of cost allocation & charge out. Furthermore, review of existing service flavors and their improvements are in the focus to support the GCID’s overall data center strategy. It includes work spanning the entire lifecycle from supporting business cases to design and planning to execution and success. The role includes the analysis expenditure against forecasts and prepared high level variance analysis. Ultimately, the role will support the payment invoice verification in collaboration with DLS team members.
The role will report to the head of GCID DLS shared service team.
What you bring:
3-5 years’ experience in financial services & management Experience or training in FINOPS or other financial / service methodologies Support the team with creating business cases & portfolio management Attention to detail and comprehension of financial impact of decisions & vice versa Proven ability to efficiently communicate and collaborate with a diverse set of colleagues Strong motivation to learn, being creative and curious: What GCID DLS does is somehow special, so it’s not about having done the same in the past but learning fast Proven English language skills, German optional

Within GCID, the DLS unit is responsible for operating SAP Cloud data centers and delivering Infrastructure Lifecycle services in and around the data centers. It includes next to data center services, Infrastructure HW supply and decommission chain and environmental sustainability. The team operates ~40 data centers around the globe.
